Martin White Lastex Telescopic Swimsuit. Size XS/S

1940s

Martin White Lastex Telescopic Swimsuit. Size XS/S

$140.00

Martin White patented his Telescopic swimsuits in 1937, using Lastex fabric. His suits were modelled in the late 40s and 50s by Jean Simmons among other bathing belles. Adverts for this particular cut date back to 1937. This purple is unfaded and as vibrant as the day it was made. The beautiful silver buttons at the bust add focus to the decolletage and the telescopic smocking means this swimsuit will create curves on everybody.

Condition:
Good used condition. The straps have been stitched up to a shorter length, which could easily be un-done. There are a few small areas around the seat where the smocking is un-stitched, but this is not visible out side.

Measurements:
All measurements taken flat, with the garment inside out and then doubled. Please see our measurement and size guide for details on how to determine your fit.
